London South East Colleges and London Biggin Hill Airport are committed to helping develop and deliver the skills solutions that are needed to support the growth of the aerospace industry over the coming years.
With Covid-19 changing the landscape of the sector, it is right and necessary to consider our approach and ensure our plans fully meet the needs of the local and wider economy now and in the future.
We are therefore looking to relocate the aerospace and technology training facility to our Bromley Campus, in place of building on site at the airport.
This will enable us to extend the breadth of our current curriculum, equipping students with a wider range of skills and focusing on the rapidly growing areas of sustainability and green economy. This aligns with the many new job opportunities that are emerging across all these areas.
The College continues to work in close partnership with the airport and its employer partners, ensuring students will have access to crucial hands-on training and on-site work experience.
There is huge determination from all sides that this project succeeds and that the important investment in young people and skills within the borough of Bromley is maintained.
