On Wednesday 8th September, our friends at Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar hosted one of their infamous Veterans Days. The special event saw the largest gathering of veterans at Biggin Hill for many years, with attendees having an incredible combined age of over 1000 years!

Some were active during the Japanese theatre, others were from Bomber Command and carried out attacks on the Peenemunde Rocket site and flew the Lancaster, carrying the largest bomb during the Second World War – the ‘Tallboy’.

We hope the veterans enjoyed their day; great to see the Heritage Hangar are able to host these wonderful events again.
